CLOVIS — After Del Norte's girls won the Arcadia Invitational 4x800 relay, numerous opposing coaches said the Nighthawks had shown their hand and would be easier to beat in the 103 rd California State Track Championships. Knowing what a team would do and then adjusting to it doesn't necessarily mean you can beat that team, especially since this is the first year the event has been part of the overall schedule and strategies are still evolving. 'We haven't run this team (the same four girls) since Arcadia and we've improved,' was how Hannah Riggins put it before Saturday's late night championship at Buchanan High School's Memorial Stadium.
