ARCADIA — When the Westfield Santa Anita mall was sold in August, not much information was released, just the giant sale price of $537.5 million and that the buyer — whoever it was — was based in Southern California. But the mystery is now settled, with documents confirming real estate investor Wen Shan Chang of nearby Bradbury as the purchaser in the deal, said to be the largest of its kind in the U.S. since 2018. Chang is listed as the 'buyer contact,' and his Monrovia-based Riderwood USA Inc. as the 'recorded buyer,' according to real estate data provider CoStar, which also confirmed the sale price.
